An intense and enthralling 2024 Rolex Middle Sea Race concluded on Saturday 26 October. Contested by an international fleet of 112 yachts, the 45th edition of the 606-nautical mile race was typically challenging and presented crews with a myriad of weather conditions. Emerging as overall race winner on handicap was the TP52 Red Bandit crewed primarily by young German sailors developing their offshore racing experience under a pathway programme created by skipper Carl-Peter Forster. Scallywag 100 had earlier claimed line honours as the first boat to finish. Rolex has partnered both the race and its organizers, the Royal Malta Yacht Club, since 2002.
