The annual Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is one of the toughest tests of sailing ability and the 80th edition was no exception. With an international repute that transcends sailing’s perceived boundaries, the race once again attracted a clutch of top class international entrants, along with competitors from all corners of Australia. A first-ever overall victory for a female skipper, as one half of a double-handed crew, placed the 2025 race high in the pantheon of historic races .Rolex has partnered the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and its organizers the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) since 2002. Continuously supporting dynamic yacht clubs like the CYCA, institutions essential to the evolution of sailing and which help perpetuate and develop the offshore sailing discipline, is a core facet of Rolex’s support for yachting.
