The Legend of Chief Shannon Kent

"Send Me: The True Story of a Mother at War" is the extraordinary story of American special operator and trailblazer Shannon Kent, who hunted high value targets on classified missions in the most dangerous locales on earth while trying to balance her life as a wife and mother.

Senior Chief Shannon Kent served multiple tours in Iraq, participating in numerous special operations that contributed to the capture of hundreds of enemy insurgents. A specialist in cryptologic warfare and fluent in seven languages, she not only paved the way for greater inclusion of women in Special Operations Forces, but was also one of the first women to pass the Naval Special Warfare Direct Support Course. Kent was killed in action in Syria Jan. 16, 2019, and posthumously promoted to senior chief petty officer.
