Rolex Giraglia 2023

The Rolex Giraglia, one of the oldest, most revered sailing events in the Mediterranean, is renowned for its sense of tradition, spirit of camaraderie and intense but fair competition. At this year’s milestone 70th anniversary edition, three days of inshore racing in the glamorous French port of Saint-Tropez were followed by the week’s headline event, the 241-nautical mile (446 km) offshore race to Genoa, Italy, via the spectacular Giraglia rock off the northern tip of Corsica. Red Bandit from Germany, crewed predominantly by young sailors, was overall winner, with line honours going to Australian maxi Black Jack.
