PMP Collaborates With Compatriots Badjatex Denim Mills For Eco-Consciuos Denim Collection

So this whole “maintaining a livable planet” situation is pretty terrifying, for anyone paying attention, and it’s no secret that the clothing industry at large isn’t contributing positively to the endeavor. But while some Big Companies are putting the responsibility on the consumer*, others are working out ways in which to make things less caustic from Jump Street. Pot Meets Pop and Badjatex, for instance, are giving it a shot with their recent collaborative capsule, which uses Badjatex’s eco-fabric across some classic, rotation-worthy staples.

(*” Buy less, buy better” is a wonderful mantra but it probably should also be said in tandem with something like “Make less, make better.”)

Made using two different 100% cotton, liquid indigo-dyed denim fabrics — both finished with ozone technology that requires 30% less energy and significantly less water per meter — the collection features three separate pieces.

The Skunk Jacket, which is made with a 12.25 oz. fabric, draws design inspiration from some titans of the trucker jacket genre and features additional slash pockets at the waist and cinch tabs at the back hem. The Crutch Chore Coat is made with a 11.75 oz. iteration of that Badjatex fabric, features a button front placket, a slightly rounded collar, three outside patch pockets (with one more at the interior), and is cut in a regular fit. And finally, the Cacho Carpenter Denim is done in that same 11.75 oz. weight and comes complete with a zipper fly, slanted front pockets, patch pockets at the front and back, utility pockets at the sides, a hammer loop at the left, and a regular fit through the legs.

And the best part? None of it will run you over $95 USD. The collection is available now over at PMP.
